If you are looking for a cheaper and more convenient alternative then you should look at a retractable clothesline for your home. No doubt installing a outdoor clothes line can save you a chunk of money every month by a very low upfront cost and a zero monthly charge unlike a dryer which would consume electricity and annual maintenance. A clothes line is cheap enough and has no maintenance cost associated with it. Now that you have figured out that you want to buy a clothes line, the next question is how do you use one?

How to Install Your Own Clothes Line?

Installing a clothes line is moderately easy, take out the things you need to set a clothes line and let us start fixing one. What you need is hooks, Pulleys, a Step Ladder and a UV resistant clothes line rope.

- Do you find two trees near you? Screw the wood hooks into them, space the trees far enough so that it can hold a large amount of laundry. Tie the rope extra tight at both the ends, the rope may loosen a bit after you add wet clothes on it.

- Fix a pulley on a building or a tree away from your porch or back door. Attach another pulley at the back door or the porch. Insert a long rope around both the pulleys and then put a tight knot to hold together. Now its easy for you to stand at the backdoor and dry the laundry on one side and push the other side to the opposite pulley.

- Tie two rope lines concreted at least 2 feet from the ground level and length of 7 foot t-supports. String the laundry line across and place several screws on either side of t-section. This is a better way to dry laundry out of sight thus placing the lines in sun.

- Design a separate cloth line for children in a lower level it can help them to dry and take off the laundry.

Save your money, conserve energy and give your laundry an outdoor aroma by installing your own Outdoor Clothes line.
